In the Book of Compliments we believe that praising is a noble act, which has been lost in a time, where the focus has moved from the individual themselves, to what they do.

If it's good it's good, if it's bad it's no good. With this illusion of perfection, we were led to look at what we lack (mainly qualities) and not at what wonderful things we have.

And, thus walking alone through time, praise began to lose its space, criticism taking the reins of everything.

It is necessary to praise.

For all of this, the “Book of Compliments” was created, which brings with it the hope of contributing to a better world.

A world where every human being feels a genuine desire to recognize the best in themselves and their fellow man.

The evolution

Created by Cristina Leal in 2013, after asking for a book to praise and being informed that she only had one place to complain, the Book of Compliments was well received by organizations and is now present in more than 11,000 establishments and companies. The fact that the Portuguese are, naturally, a people who value the work of others, who like to welcome and take good care of, makes the Book of Compliments make even more sense.

The Book of Compliments, which started with just the traditional Paper Book, grew, and our team started thinking about how it could continue to contribute to the success of companies, in addition to the motivation and recognition that this traditional version brought.

Thus, a website was created, where the Book could be purchased more easily. Afterwards, an application was developed, where online compliments are recorded, valuing employees. And, more recently, the digital version of the Book of Compliments was launched.
